Factors that influence how health professionals and the public use health information technology, along with economic evaluations of innovative medical technologies.
Applying risk-adjustment methods to compare health care quality and utilization more objectively and fairly after accounting for differences in patient risk profiles.
Using large real-world health databases to compare the effects of different interventions, including medications, medical devices, surgeries, and health policies.
My research focuses on health insurance and health policy, especially issues such as payment systems and tiered health care, and examines the factors that drive differences in health care quality and efficiency. I also specialize in Risk Adjustment methods for comparing differences in provider outcomes.
Some of my work also examines Smart Health Care, including telemedicine, NHI MediCloud applications, and economic evaluations of innovative medical technologies.
